Some forward thinking going on here, at least in academic terms. How does this equate to the Dean’s agreement out here in the west?
Damn you Tony Bates, making me blog again! Following is the link to the article that has brought me back from my hiatus. Tony gives his 2013 year in review. All I can say is he is bang on.
More changes indicative of the stance PSE institutions are having to take to retool for the future. A full embrace of new pedagogy, available technology, and embracing the contemporary learner will go a long way in these new strategies. It seems to me that this move by SIAST is more proactive than reactive given that institution’s current funding scenario and student enrollment/employment rates.
SIAST is cautiously filling voids in Saskatchewan’s growing sectors.
Novel! How would this work in Saskatchewan? I think this would even be doable at a 1% deduction for 25 years, and would sure beat student loans. Good to note that this had unanimous support as well.
Are we missing out on a huge market? Are they being marketed to properly?
